Moving objects
The MOVE command works normally in 3D; we can move objects in all directions.
Anyway, a command is also available that works preferably with a gizmo.
The 3DMOVE command
The 3DMOVE command (alias 3M ) allows you to move objects or parts of objects
along the axis or a plane defined by two axes of a specific gizmo. The gizmo repres-
ents the three axes and is placed by default at the geometric center of the objects.
After selecting the objects to move, the command prompts for the base point and
shows the move gizmo:
Command: 3DMOVE
Select objects: Selection
If we specify a point, the command acts like the MOVE command, prompting for a
second point. Normally, we select an axis or a plane:
Specify base point or [Displacement]
<Displacement>: Axis selection
The selected objects are moved along the axis or the plane. We can specify a point
or a value along the axis:
** MOVE **
Specify move point or [Base point/Copy/Undo/
eXit]: Point or Value
