ginal objects (value
1
) or not (value
0
). This variable is saved with the drawing.
With value
1
, the
DELOBJ
variable, saved with AutoCAD, is not applied to sur-
faces and all original objects are not deleted. To delete the original objects when
creating surfaces,
SURFACEASSOCIATIVITY
must be
0
and
DELOBJ
must be
1
.
If
DELOBJ
is
3
(default), the original objects are not deleted.
In several situations, the
3DFACE
command can be used instead of
PLANESURF
.
This command, fully presented in
Chapter 12
,
Meshes and surfaces
, creates a
planar face only by specifying three or four corners. The advantages with its applic-
ation are that we can stretch any corner, even with grips, and corners can be any-
where in 3D, independent of the current UCS. For instance, we can create a vertical
face easily to simulate a door or window. These faces can be converted to surfaces
with the
PLANESURF
command.
