Note
With a wireframe visual style, spheres are shown only with two meridian and
three parallel isolines. We may increase the value of the
ISOLINES
variable.
With shaded visual styles or in render, we get better results by increasing the
value of the
FACETRES
variable.
Creating 3D donuts
If we want a solid shaped like a donut or torus, the next command is a possibility.
This shape can also be obtained by applying the
REVOLVE
command to a circle.
The TORUS command
The
TORUS
command (alias
TOR
) creates toroid solids, that is, solids with a 3D donut
shape.
By default, the command prompts for the center of the torus, the radius of torus, and
the radius of the circular section. The torus bisects the XY plane of the current user
coordinate system:
