In-Depth Information
Atlantic is definitely a feature of life here. The Galway coast has its share of sandy beaches,
but the weather is infamously unpredictable and overpowering winds can put a quick end to
any planned day of sunbathing. In addition, capricious rain-storms can roll in without any
warning whatsoever, and sometimes you'll even experience a torrential downpour coming
out of a clear blue sky. It's surreal and eerily beautiful in its own way, but still it's best to
plan on getting wet if you plan to spend much time outside, especially in Spring and Fall.
However, all this confusion and intermittent rain has a great upside - in the right seasons,
you're likely to see a rainbow almost every day hanging over the Galway skyline.
