In-Depth Information
Given its relatively large size (yes, 46,000 counts as a pretty big town in Ireland), and its
location halfway between the tourist-heavy cities of Dublin and Cork, you might expect
that Waterford would have become a major tourist destination in its own right. But this has
not happened. It's actually retained a lot of its traditional
small-town charm
. This is one of
the advantages of visiting this town - you'll get an authentic feel for the seemingly timeless
small Irish town.
