Digging Post Holes
Your post holes should be evenly spaced and set in the ground to a depth of 2 or 3
ft. Renting a soil auger can make digging the holes for them a much easier job. Soil
augers may be hand operated or fitted as an attachment to a Bobcat or small tractor.
Installing the End Posts
1. Start with post #1.
2. Measure 7 ft. from post #1 to post #2, then 7 ft. to post #3, and then to posts #4,
#5, #6, #7, and #8 in order.
3. Measure 49 ft. from post #1 to post #9.
4. Next, measure 7 ft. from post #9 for posts #10, #11, #12, #13, #14, #15, and #16,
in order.
5. Dig all 16 post holes, 2 to 3 ft. in depth.
