A means of gauging when to irrigate based on how much water
is present in the ground around the root system.
WATER STRESS
Occurs when soil water supply is low and the weather is hot, sunny,
windy, and of low humidity. The signs of water stress are when shoot growth stops and the
plant looks grayish in color.
