Encourage beneficial insects such as minute pirate bugs. Treat with Stylet-Oil or spinosad.
Spider Mites
Mites are tiny green, yellowish, or reddish pests that form characteristic silken webbing
on leaves. Damage may start as yellow spots that lead to bronzed and burned-looking
leaves.
CONTROL
There is no prescribed treatment time, but populations are usually high in later summer.
Encourage beneficial insects such as predatory mites. Reduce dust in the vineyard. Treat
with insecticidal soap, neem oil, horticultural oil, or a product labeled for use on mites such
as Stylet-Oil.
