A backpack sprayer makes the work of spraying the vineyard go more quickly.
Be sure to wear gloves and goggles to protect yourself from the fungicide.
In some cases you will want to add a “no foam” or spreader/sticker product that helps
the spray to stick to the leaves and fruit; many commercial formulas will already have such
an agent included.
With backpack sprayers there is little overspray or residue. Be sure to triple rinse your
spray rig with water after use, so it is ready to go and clean for the next application. I also
recommend using separate spray rigs for herbicides and disease applications, just in case
some minor herbicide residue remains.
