Pruning
This year, the objective is to fill out the vine with about 10 to 15 strong spurs, each with
two buds, for a total of 20 to 30 buds per plant. This is just a guide—you will want to vary
the number of buds: fewer if the vine is very vigorous; more if the vine is less vigorous.
