Kelston Round Hill
Go through the kissing gate, bear left, then right through a deer fence
to slope downhill along the edge of a plantation. Out of the deer fence turn
left on a track, then right along a clear, well-made bridleway heading to-
wards Kelston Round Hill. The way skirts the left-hand (eastern) slopes of
this prominent hill with yet more fine views to enjoy as you descend to the
head of a lane at Pendean Farm (grid ref: 718667)
A few paces down this lane, take the continuing footpath on the right
which cuts along the top edge of a sloping meadow. A stile in the far corner
leads onto a path which takes you steeply down to a playing field on the
edge of Weston. Cross to the far right- hand corner where you exit onto
Anchor Road, and wander downhill.
At the bottom of Anchor Road cross over to the lower street level (High
Street), then walk up onto raised Church Street which you follow to We-
ston's parish church. Go through the churchyard to Church Road and turn
left, now walking uphill. At the very top a tarmac path continues to a cross-
ing road, Purlewent Drive.
Cross this and make your way up a narrow service road opposite, which
leads to Primrose Hill Water Treatment Works. A footpath continues uphill,
through a kissing gate, and turns right along the lower edge of a meadow.
On the far side come onto a track which takes you behind houses, then on
an enclosed footpath to cross Primrose Hill, a residential street. Continue
