HAWKESBURY UPTON
Hawkesbury Upton developed around a farm mentioned in a document of 972AD, but
has grown very little since then during its thousand-year history. In fact its expansion
has been surprisingly limited, considering its prominent position on the wolds just west
of the Bath road, and most of the village buildings are less than a hundred years old.
