12.4. Integration with the BRMS
When the validation and calculation rules are too complex
to be expressed solely via the syntax of data models (facets,
decision tables), it is necessary to anticipate the use of a
rules engine in order to counter the hard-coded development.
The rich data model design for the MDM system is reused
by the BRMS (Business Rules Management System), on
condition that the two software tools operate with the same
standard of physical data; the one that needs to be used is
XML schema.
