5. For the next step of configuring the replica set, you should add the third member.
Our member's hostname is
mongod3.replicaset.com
. Again, you can add
the member using the
rs.add()
method as shown in the following screenshot:
6. After adding the third member, we have a three-member replica set. Again, by is-
suing the
rs.status()
command in the
mongo
shell, you can check the status
of the replica set. The following screenshot illustrates the status of our replica set
network after adding the third member to it:
