As you can see in the preceding screenshot, other
secondary
nodes will sync their data
to the new
primary
node. In our example, the next
primary
node is

.

To complete our testing scenario, we will start the
mongod1.replicaset.com
ser-
vice again.
Right after enabling the service,
mongod
will send ping or heartbeat messages to the cur-
rent
primary
node, and also, the replica set sets its status to the
secondary
node.
