gion reputedly enjoy the healthiest diet in the whole of France. This is something we later
learned much more about.
As usual, quite unable to take a relaxed 'touring' approach to any trip, we shot through
various departments and bypassed Tarbes at great speed. This was a shame because I have
always wanted to have a look around. But on this occasion I didn't really mind because
now I could add it to my mental wish-list of future places to visit, once we were fully in-
stalled in our new home.
As we continued on towards Mirepoix it began to get hotter and hotter. In spite of the
air-conditioning blowing full-pelt it wasn't making any significant impact on the oppress-
ive heat that penetrated the car. I started to worry about Biff. He was sheltered behind one
of the nylon mesh sunscreens we'd stuck to the windows but had started to fizz.
