Unlike image coordinates, the projected coordinates in a SRS are expressed in
distance (e.g. meters). The origin (0,0) is no longer the upper left pixel of the

Depending on the image processing software, the origin of the raster space can
differ. The origin can be at the upper left corner, but also at the center of the upper left
