The Magic Bean is a main stop in La Mariscal's tourist track just a block from Plaza Foch.
Their extensive menu mostly features American foods with some international sections, a
vegetarian section and kid's menu. Their dessert and juice bar dominates the corner of
Mera and Foch, luring passersby with ice cream, cheesecakes and elaborate drinks.
Heated outdoor seating completes the restaurant, which also doubles as a hostel. Salads
are some of the best in town, it's just a shame service runs at a glacial pace (even when
empty.)

In comparison, the service at Noe is swift and exemplary, making this sushi establishment
all the more exceptional in Quito's food scene. Asian food is hard to come by in Ecuador
(that's not counting the many Chinese food restaurants that should be passed) so if you're
craving good sushi, authentic soups and Japanese teriyaki, Noe is a no-brainer. While all
their locales are great, the one in El Jardín mall has the best views.

places to eat in Quito, with arched doorways, vintage decor and tasteful food presentation,
