Thanks to its steady stream of tourists, Baños is also home to a host of international dining
options and is probably the best place to be a vegetarian in Ecuador. The sleepy town
comes alive at night when students and travelers mix in the bars of Eloy Alfaro street, the
designated party block in Baños.

Parque Central Palomino Flores.
Colorful and homey with a lot of candles, the workers are some of the friendliest people in
town. Skip the entire pasta section and go for the exquisite Arabic Plate.

The Stray Dog serves up an extensive list of locally-made beer, American comfort food
and some classic Ecuadoran plates. Nice ambience, but forego the wine.

It's hard to miss Swiss Bistro, probably because it takes up a large portion of 'spa street'
and is painted like a cow. Even so, their hot chocolate hits the spot.

La Tasca is a charming little hole-in-the-wall establishment with the best
tapas
and wine
list in town. The Spanish-owned restaurant is decorated with Christmas lights and fea-
tures a tiny but beautiful bar.
