that houses 'Pirate Port' Restaurant & Bar. This fun place serves standard Ecuadorian
grub (namely seafood dishes) at cheap prices in the presence of great views and the occa-
sional live band.

Cocolón is the name given to the crunchy rice that gets stuck at the bottom of a pot when
cooked and is served as a side snack in many coastal homes. It's also this restaurant's
namesake, which serves big, tasty portions of traditional Ecuadorian fare in a modern es-
tablishment, with recycled art on the walls and Guayaquileño music sounding from the
speakers. Service is excellent.

mansion. People come for the ambience - lush gardens wrapped around wood shutters and
