Optimal Geometries Analysis
Four objective functions were considered in the shape optimization of uncemented
hip femoral stems. Three of them are single cost functions, and the fourth one
is a multicriteria combining the previous ones. In this section, the optimized
stem shapes obtained for the single cost functions, followed by the multicriteria
optimization results, is presented. For all analysis equal load weight factors were
considered, that is,
