Business Hours
Most places adhere roughly to the hours listed below. Shopping centres and
malls have longer hours and are open daily from at least 10am to 8pm. Mu-
seums are usually closed on Mondays, and have shorter hours outside of high
season. In this guidebook's reviews and listings, we've removed business
hours for restaurants and attractions that adhere to standard opening hours.
Bars and Clubs 11am-1am Tue-Sat, normally shorter hours Sunday and
Monday.
Banks 9am-4pm Mon-Fri, with some banks offering limited hours on Saturday
from 9am to 1pm.
Offices 8am-5pm Mon-Fri, 9am-1pm Sat (varies).
Museums 9am-5pm Tue-Sun; some attractions are closed or have shorter
hours from October to April.
Post Offices 7am-8pm Mon-Fri, 8am-1pm Sat (cities).
Restaurants 11am-11pm daily; many kitchens close by 10pm.
Shops 9am-6pm Mon-Fri, 9am-1pm Sat (varies). Shops that cater mainly to
tourists in the city centre have longer opening hours and are normally open on
weekends.
Customs Regulations
Customs formalities have been greatly simplified. On arrival at Prague Airport,
if you have nothing to declare, simply walk through the green (customs free)
line. Bags are rarely checked. Formal customs regulations are as follows:
