The location's a tad dull, but the bright exterior and spotless rooms here ensure a good
night's sleep. Single travellers usually aren't accepted.
Valtice-Lednice
Explore
The Unesco-protected historic landscape of Valtice-Lednice is a popular weekend
destination for Czechs, who tour the historic architecture, hike and bike, and sample
the region's wines. The two towns are about 10km apart, connected by regular buses.
Neither Valtice nor Lednice offer much in terms of nightlife, so they're best visited as
a day trip from either Mikulov or Brno. But if you've got more time, either town
makes a perfect base for exploring the rolling hills of the southern Moravian wine
country: hundreds of miles of walking and cycling trails criss-cross a mostly un-
spoiled landscape. Tourist information offices in both towns have maps, and you can
rent bikes from Cykloráj ( CLICK HERE ) in Valtice.

Top Tip
Instead of the bus, hike the 10km trail between Valtice and Lednice. The path runs
through some pretty hills and takes about two hours at a leisurely pace.
