SLEEPING
Mikulov has some beautiful small hotels and pensions, and is a good town for an
overnight stay. Most of the better properties are clustered along Husova in the former
Jewish Quarter. Many properties offer sightseeing tours, wine tastings and have bikes
to rent; ask when booking.

This beautifully reconstructed, family-run hotel comprises a main building and
an annex, two doors down. The updated rooms are done out in cheerful tiles and
stained glass. The baths are as stylish as the rooms. Some rooms, such as ours (No 11
in the annex), open onto a secluded patio with tables for relaxing in the evening.

You'll find this place a few doors up from the Hotel Templ. Beautifully resur-

Yet another beautiful pension on Husova, the 'Goose' boasts furnishings with period
flare, like canopy beds and big oriental rugs on top of hardwood floors. This place is
popular, so try to book well in advance.
