Records of Třebíč's Jewish community go back until the 14th
century, and the town's Jewish Quarter is the best-preserved ghetto in the Czech Re-
public. Most of Třebíč's Jews perished in WWII, but the buildings here, including two
synagogues, survived and are being slowly refurbished. The highlight is the

wonderful historical model of the ghetto.
