Sleeping
While overnight stays are possible, most of the big hotels and resorts in town are
geared for longer-term (one- to two-week) bookings, including full wellness pack-
ages. In practice that means reception desks are not always prepared to handle walk-in
requests for a one- or two-night stay. You'll get better service (and often better prices)
if you reserve a room in advance.

best hotels is a very good 'four star'. Either way you're guaranteed an elegant stay in
this 19th-century confection that sits atop the 'new baths'. Exemplary spa services are
virtually on tap as you're ushered into the gilded lobby. Check the website for spa
packages.
