of the Czech festival season.
Getting There & Away
Train From Prague (260Kč, 3½ hours), the train journey requires a change in České
Budějovice. Buses are usually quicker and cheaper. There's regular train service
between České Budějovice and Český Krumlov (32Kč, 45 minutes).
Bus From Prague, Student Agency ( www.studentagency.cz ) coaches (195Kč,
three hours) leave regularly from the Na Knížecí bus station at Anděl metro station
(line B). Book in advance for weekends or in July and August.
Car The drive from Prague is a stren-uous three hours along mostly two-lane high-
way. Take the D1 motorway in the direction of Brno, and turn south on Hwy E55.
