In-Depth Information
traditional Czech pub and beer garden dating from the 19th century, Na Slamníku is
tucked away in a small valley in Bubeneč, just behind the sprawling Russian embassy.
There are a couple of drinking rooms inside and a peaceful shady garden in front in
summer. Check the website for occasional live music on weekends.

Raucous
beer pub with a mostly student-age clientele that makes for a good place to continue-
on to after the Letná beer garden closes down. There's decent Czech food as well, in-
cluding good-value daily lunch specials.
CAFE

Hradčanská)
This relaxing cafe just a short walk across the rail-
way tracks from Hradčanská metro station is a good place for quiet reflection during
the day, and occasional live music and open-mic nights in the evening. Mostly coffee
and drinks on the menu, but it does serve small bites such as soups and sandwiches.
BAAR
LA BODEGA FLAMENCA
Fri & Sat; 1, 8, 15, 25, 26)
La Bodega resides in an atmospheric, red-brick cellar. With
the Latin music turned down low, the crowd seems a bit more reflective (at least com-
pared with the crew at Fraktal next door). Most people come for a beer or sangria, but
there's also a nice selection of tapas on hand. Also live music and dance some nights.
CAFE

TĚSNĚ VEDLE BURUNDI
pub/coffee house hybrid that draws a mix of intellectuals, students, ageing rockers and
garden-variety neighbourhood drinkers. There's a vaguely old-school, dissident whiff
about the place, making it a more satisfying spot to linger than the swish bars in the
city centre.
