DRINKING & NIGHTLIFE
The neighbourhoods of Holešovice, Bubeneč and Dejvice straddle a fairly wide
range of socio-economic levels. Holešovice and the area around Let-enské
náměstí in Bubeneč are filled with classic 'old man' pubs and student watering
holes. Dejvice is a bit posher, with a slightly more upscale selection of pubs and
cafes.
Holešovice
PUUB
NA STARÉ KOVÁRNĚ
15, 25, 26)
The motorcycle hanging from the ceiling sets a rakish tone for this pub. The
food is two notches above standard bar fare - and has even garnered raves from local
critics - but few people come just for the food. It's a shot-and-a-beer joint in the best
sense of the term.
CAFE
AFE
ERHARTOVA CUKRÁRNA
10am-7pm;
;
1, 8, 15, 25, 26)
This stylish 1930s-era cafe and sweetshop in a refur-
bished functionalist building is adjacent to the local branch of the public library. It
draws a mix of students, older folk and mothers with strollers, attracted mainly by the
cookies, doughnuts and cinnamon rolls, as well as an ice cream in hot weather.

CLUB CLUB
26 to Letenské náměstí)
This neighbourhood bar doubles as arguably the best night and
music club in the immediate vicinity of Letenské náměstí. It's a good place to finish
the night secure in the knowledge you aren't likely to get rousted out until the wee
hours.
