river, this ornate, neo-baroque pavilion dating from 1891 houses a smart restaurant
with a postcard-perfect view of the Vltava bridges. From April to September you can

Garden' is a neighbourhood joint that's just authentic enough to draw people from
around the city. In fact, it's not uncommon to see lines of Asian tourists streaming
here at meal times. The very hot 'dry fried chicken' (pieces of chicken cooked on the
bone in red pepper flakes) is one of the local favourites.

This lovingly restored traditional Czech pub is
an oasis for good beer (and food) along the southern (upper) border of Stromovka
park. The relaxed pub vibe endures and the Czech cooking is more imaginative here
than usual, with some harder-to-find-venison dishes on the menu.
