ition space forms the nucleus of Holešovice's expanding rep as one of the city's more
hip districts. The exhibitions highlight a wide range of media, including video, sculp-

tank in the country, with a capacity of around 100,000L. Some 4500 living species of
fish and sea creatures are on display, with a good (and suitably scary) set of sharks.
The cramped interior will be disappointing if you're used to larger 'Sea World'-type
amusement parks around the world.

an often-overlooked gem, the Lapidárium is a repository for some 400 sculptures
from the 11th to the 19th centuries. The exhibits include Bohemia's oldest surviving
stone sculpture, parts of the Renaissance Krocín Fountain that once stood on the Old
Town Square, and several original statues from Charles Bridge.
