Explore: Holešovice, Bubeneč & Dejvice
The contiguous neighbourhoods of Holešovice, Bubeneč and Dejvice cut across a
huge swath of land to the north of the Old Town across the Vltava. It's nearly impos-
sible to explore the area in one go: instead, focus on specific destinations, such as res-
taurants, clubs or museums. Main hubs include Strossmayerovo náměstí in
Holešovice, Letenské náměstí in Bubeneč and the area around the Dejvická metro sta-
tion in Dejvice. Each of these has interesting pockets of pubs and little holes-in-the-
wall to give a flavour of Prague life away from the central tourist throng. You won't
want to miss the modern art museum at the Veletržní Palác, which you can easily
combine with a visit to one of the pretty parks at Letná or Stromovka. Further afield,
Prague Zoo and the Troja Chateau occupy bucolic settings amid rolling hills.
