can match; unfortunately, the food doesn't always live up to the decor. Still, if it's just
a cup of coffee or a glass of wine you're after, then you can hardly do flashier in this

We liked this place so much better when it
was called Medúza, but it's still one of the best cafes in Vinohrady. The clientele is
mostly students who come for coffee and conversation. Serves light food as well.

aren't many student watering holes left in trendy Vinohrady, but the 'Yellow Pump'
has been a neighbourhood fixture for over a decade. There's a tiny bar area and sever-
al adjacent small rooms, and normally every seat in the house is filled. There's a com-
plete range beers, wines and cocktails, plus average but edible Mexican food.

This delightful wine bar has a popular front terrace and a wide selec-
tion of local wines, available by the bottle or glass. There's also a back garden with
picnic tables. While the menu is short on serious food, there are some smaller items
such as sausages, ham and cheese to nibble on between sips.

1950s- and '60s-era throwback cafe, with old-time motorcycles, TV sets and radios
tossed around as furnishings. People come mostly for coffee or beer, but you can also
get a traditional Czech breakfast of bread rolls, ham and cheese (99Kč). There's a
computer in the corner to check email (per hr 50Kč).
