This cosy sit-down burger joint is the creation of a husband-
and-wife team of American expats who wanted to create the perfect burger using or-
ganic products and free-range, grass-fed beef. It's packed most nights, so reservations
are a must; they ask that reservation requests be sent in by email. Great fries and
bourbon-based cocktails too. Dinner only.

This French-run, Lyonnais-styled bistro has some of the best
steaks, at the best prices, in town. The name 'White Cow' refers to the Charollais
breed of white cows from Burgundy, the source of the restaurant's signature steaks.
Added charms include an authentic bistro feel and excellent wine selection.

This secluded, upscale restaurant draws a
star-studded crowd, including on at least one occasion - judging by the photos on the
wall - crooner Karel Gott. Book in advance to snag one of the coveted garden seats.
There are great luncheon specials, including (on our visit) chicken roulade with
mashed potatoes for 85Kč.

This pleasantly up-
market pub-restaurant has a quiet, tree-covered terrace out the front. The contempor-
ary interior pulls in a mix of Czech professionals, students and the occasional tourist
from a nearby pension. The menu is a blend of Czech specialties plus well-done bar
food, such as chicken quesadillas and cheeseburgers.
