As shown in Figure 11.31, the DS1631A is an eight-pin package. The SDA and SCL pins
are used as the data and clock lines so that the DS1631A can be connected to an I

C bus. Pins
A2,A0 are address inputs to the DS1631A. The T

pin is the thermostat output, which is as-
serted whenever the ambient temperature is above the trip point set by the designer.
