Where to drink and party
While the South Bank isn't a party place, it's a great choice for evening drinks and
something more casual than the rest of Central London.
There's a huge number of quaint pubs around Waterloo Train Station ,
mostly fulfilling all images of the quintessential English boozer. In particu-
lar, try The Hole in the Wall, with the sound of rattling trains overhead and
a huge selection of hand pulled ales.
London Bridge Underground Station is another area with a dozen or so pubs
to choose from. George Inn dates back to the 17 th century and The Bunch
of Grapes is as cheap as you can get in London.
