Planning Your Journey
The London Underground map looks like a maze of possibility, and for a lot of London jour-
neys, you should be able to decipher which lines to take. Assisting you throughout is the
excellent Transport For London (TFL) journey planner. It's available on their website, and
their free app is highly recommended, using GPS to recognize your starting point. Just type
in the destination and it provides a range of options. You can also save journeys and pre plan
a whole day of travel.

Outside every Underground Station, and on most major street intersections, you'll find large
local maps of the area. These clear and concise maps make finding your destination relat-
ively easy. Attractions are marked and often signposted on walking routes from the Under-
ground stations.
