Heading out this far north isn't for an all night party. The vibe is chilled and easy-going,
plus you'll probably have to take the tube back before 11pm. It's predominantly pub style
drinking with real ales and a local atmosphere. Rather than head for a particular pub, check
out a few options in any of the following areas:
Blackstock Road near Finsbury Park has many welcoming pubs, and
there's always a lively football crowd at weekends, perhaps epitomized by
the Faultering Fullback.
If your idea of a good pub involves reading the broadsheet newspapers over
a pint of hand-pulled, then there are many choices around Archway Under-
ground Station . They're not particularly lively but very authentic.
