BUSINESS INFORMATION DIRECTORY — THE METADATA
The associated metadata for each element is contained in the business
information directory. The business information directory component pro-
vides the user with a single source or catalog of information about the data
in the enterprise warehouse. The purpose of the directory is to provide a
diversified set of users with the required information about the data that is
available to them and how it is related to other information. This relation-
ship further provides a link between the business and information systems
development and its terms.
