on Av Mendez. On the road out of town towards Yacuiba a series of stalls serves delicious
fried
surubí
fish from the nearby Río Pilcomayo, considered one of the finest fishing rivers
in Bolivia.

There are several good places to eat around the plaza, most of which serve tasty Argentine
beef, as well as the usual mix of Bolivian standards, chicken, and pizza. Most restaurants
open daily for lunch and dinner, though many close early on Sun.
