Perugia:
At the heart ofthe Umbria region is its capital city ofPerugia. Here you'll find an abundance
of things to see and do. Check out the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the Palazzo dei Prioi
(Town Hall) which are close to each other. The Palazzo dei Priori is an impressive building
done in Italian Gothic Style. It also houses the National Gallery of Umbria. Perugia also has
several more old churches to check out. And for those travelers who are chocolate lovers,
Perugia is home to the producers of Perugina and Baci chocolates. In October, they host a
chocolate festival as well.
