Lake Como
As part of the Italian Lake District, Lake Como has been a hugely popular vacation destina-
tion for locals and tourists alike for well over a hundred years. Perhaps it's the fresh moun-

in the Como Province of Lombardy in Northern Italy and is known for its pristine and scenic
beauty. The main town here is Como, and is a good place to base your stay while exploring
theLakeComoregion.OthertownsincludeBellagio, Tremezzo, Menaggio,andsmaller,not
as touristy towns like Varenna, Bellano, and Colico.

There's plenty to do and see if you're planning to travel to Lake Como. It's the ideal place
for keen outdoor travelers to get out and enjoy nature while relaxing away from the bigger
touristy cities in Northern Italy.
 Take a boat trip around the lake and see a few of the towns this
way. That way you can experience the lake itself as well as take in
the local culture of each neighboring town. You can either take a
boat tour, or rent your own boat.
 Go for a hike or just a leisurely stroll in the mountains. There
are various routes you can take and the views are second to none.
 If you're into golf or tennis, check out the Villa D'Este or Mon-
itcello golf clubs in the area.
 Visit Villa Carlotta, a beautiful garden area with a wide variety
of plants and stunning lake views.
