In-Depth Information
Corniglia:
Situated high upon the cliffs overlooking the sea, Corniglia is the next village of The Cinque
Terre. One unique trait of this town is that you must climb 365 stairs in order to reach it. So
if you've got a lot of luggage, you probably would be better off staying in another nearby
village and then walk to this one with as little as possible, as it's a steep climb. The Church
of San Peitro, built in 1334 is located here and definitely worth the trek up the stairs to see,
as its architecture is a monument to the gothic-ligurian style of The Cinque Terre. There's
also an enchanting view of the terraces of Belvedere from this quaint village as well.
