In-Depth Information
There are a number of con-
texts for these windows, and
as you learn them throughout
this topic, you'll begin to
know where to look. As a last
resort, you can create an Out-
liner view and set the pop-up
browser on its header to Data
Block view. This shows a
treelike hierarchy of every
single aspect of the current
scene, down to the tiniest
nuts and bolts. Figure 2.21
shows the Outliner in Data
Block mode, with a texture
expanded. As you can see,
there is a ton of information
there. However, if you need
to change a property or
setting for something in
Blender and absolutely can't
find it anywhere else, you
will find it here. If it exists,
it's in the Data Block Out-
liner view.
Next Up …
In Chapter 3, we discuss how
to find your way around in
the 3D view, adding and
working with objects, and
basic object-level animation.
