Thermodynamics of Seasonal Lake Ice
The thermodynamics of the ice season in Lake Pääjärvi, southern Finland. Ice forms normally in
December, snow accumulates on the ice and the ice thickness is at maximum on average half meter in
March, and the ice melts in the latter half of April starting from the shore.
