Representative
value
The Barlovento Dam suffered important settle-
ments whose origin was analysed with a geotech-
nical investigation campaign. The result of in situ
testing and laboratory tests showed that the res-
ervoir ground is mainly consisted of clay material
with an important proportion of halloysite clays.
The representative values of the main geotechnical
parameters of those halloysite clays are showed in
Table 2.
