conclUsions
The analysed project, concerning the socorridos
pumping station, presents a unique set of topo-
graphic, geotechnical, geological and geometrical
characteristics. Due to this fact, special care was
given to the geological and geotechnical char-
acterization, to the numerical modelling of the
