Environmental Engineering Reference
In-Depth Information
The guide defines the different geotechnical units
present in the canary islands and gives them geo-
mechanical parameters. These units are similar to
those found in other volcanic regions of the planet.
Because in the canaries is possible to find almost
the entire spectrum of possible volcanic events, this
guide is applicable to any volcanic environment.
The guide provides an operating procedure for
each geotechnical unit and defines the minimum
number of exploration and depth, depending on
terrain types studied.
