Continue along Singel a little bit further until you get to Paleisstraat Bridge and turn left.
Then turn right when you get to Spuistraat Street where you will see “The Snakehouse”, a
bright yellow building that hosts exhibitions, theatre performances and films. This build-
ing is squatted (occupied by people who aren't legal owners or tenants) and when, in 2010,
squatting became a criminal offense, the community feared for the end of “The Snake-
house”.
