The IJ Brewery
If you want to check out a modern-day working brewery, head to the IJ Brewery which is
located just under a whimsical windmill. The brewery, opened by a former musician and
sitting in a former bathhouse, whips up its own craft beers offering both a seasonal selec-
tion as well as standard brews.
You can take a tour of the place and then sit back and relax in the pub, which is filled
with shared benches and a calm, cool design. The concept of craft beer houses hasn't quite
caught on in Amsterdam as it has in other cities, which makes this place particularly popu-
lar and usually buzzing with people.
